Troop 1 is once again selling fresh cut Christmas trees this year. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year! Sales begin Friday, November 27 at 12:00pm. The trees are the fragrant traditional New England Balsam Fir (4-11 ft.) and the dark green, low-shedding, sturdy-branched Fraser Fir (5-12 ft.). We will be selling trees until they are gone. Each year Troop 1 makes a special order to their vendor for the largest tree they can find to donate to the town. The Boy Scouts will be installing the tree on the Town Common on Friday, November 27. Then the Hopkinton Girl Scouts will decorate the tree in time for the annual tree lighting event on December 5. Along with each tree comes information on how to recycle the tree at the end of the season through our fellow Hopkinton Boy Scout Troop 4‘s tree recycling program.
We accept payment for trees by cash, personal check payable to “Troop 1 Hopkinton” and NEW THIS YEAR by credit Tree Sale 2013card. (There is a ATM machine in the parking lot if needed.)
Questions? Peter Hubbe [email protected] or Karen Bograd [email protected].
A big thank you from Troop 1 to Crosspoint Associates, Colella’s Supermarket and Lumber Street Auto, without their support our tree sale would not be possible.
